Title: V26-0003 Public Hearing – Vacate Petition by Irlin Aliaga Socarras to vacate a platted public utility easement located at 102 Goldenwood Avenue in Brandon, within Folio No. 072950-0000. Adopt a Resolution vacating a platted public utility easement, consisting of approximately 1,250 square feet (0.029 acres), within Lot 24 of the plat of Royal Oaks, as recorded in Plat Book 41, Page 86, of the Public Records of Hillsborough County, Florida. The petitioner, Irlin Aliaga Socarras, has submitted this request to resolve the encroachment of an accessory dwelling constructed by the petitioner in 2024 into the public utility easement. The accessory dwelling is the subject of an open code compliance case, HC-CMP-24-0000261, which is pending resolution of this vacate, a future variance application for setback relief, and a permit. Adopt a Resolution vacating a platted public utility easement, consisting of approximately 1,250 square

feet (0.029 acres), within Lot 24 of the plat of Royal Oaks, as recorded in Plat Book 41, Page 86, of the

Public Records of Hillsborough County, Florida. The petitioner, Irlin Aliaga Socarras, has submitted this

request to resolve the encroachment of an accessory dwelling constructed by the petitioner in 2024 into

the public utility easement. The accessory dwelling is the subject of an open code compliance case,

easements to TECO and Spectrum/Charter. All other reviewing departments, agencies, and utility

providers have raised no objections.  Estimated costs for required advertising per statute, recording fees,

and processing are accounted for in the Petitioner’s application fee of $400.
